She’s Heeere!

Good afternoon, everybody! Just wanted to announce the arrival of the newest member of the Wholee Healthy family: Norah Jean Kociemba!

Norah was born Monday, October 14th and was 8lbs 11oz, 20 inches. We went home on Wednesday, and big sister is doing great with the transition so far! Mom and Dad are tired but thrilled. 😁

As I slowly but surely recover from a C-section, I just wanted to encourage all of you to keep your circumstances and comparisons from limiting you! This is a post from a few days ago when took my first walk:

They’re mine!

My goal was to get in a walk today. The nurses couldn’t emphasize enough how important movement is as a part of recovering from a c-section.

And so, I got in my first postpartum walk… 10 minutes while my two girlies slept. I wouldn’t have even made it around a track once, but you know what? 4 days after I gave birth, this was a great accomplishment for me!

I think often times we compare ourselves to others and have unrealistic standards because we compare where we’re currently at in our lives to the the best.. those who may have been working on something maybe even for years!

As a PE teacher, I always told my students not to try to beat eachother but to beat themselves… Their last times or scores. This is so important for us to remember with any life goal! You are trying to improve your own life-not impress others or be the best.

What goals do you have for yourself?! Maybe it’s stretching for 10 minutes twice a week or training for a marathon every day, twice a day… Whatever it is, own it! It’s yours! Your life= your goals!

So wherever you’re at in life, remember, it’s about improving your life and who you are as an individual… Improve that person in the mirror and be proud!

So glad I got the chance to share with you all! Have an amazing Sunday!

Be careful of your thoughts, for your thoughts become your words. Be careful of your words, for your words become your actions. Be careful of your actions, for your actions become your habits. Be careful of your habits, for your habits become your character. Be careful of your character, for your character becomes your destiny. –Ghandi
